Mini Poem #4 - It Is Not Only You My Dear
I have passed from every Monday for a few weeks, into my fourth week of poem-ing, I'm going to keep sharing these mini poems I have written. I hope you're enjoying them!
It Is Not Only You My Dear
It is not only you my dear
That saddens me with
What should be good news
I weep when I see a child
And crumble at a pregnant belly
Of a stranger passing by
I cry at an advert
I mourn at an idea
I grieve with a well-meaning question
I wish I could express
It is not just you
But me and my situation
I battled for many years with infertility and have recently heard my biggest fear. These are words that get caught in my throat, I have so many feelings that come up with the situation I am in but I struggle to give them a voice. As you can see from the photo, I decided to add a bit more onto the end of this poem, however the last words have been the hardest to find and get right. Perhaps like myself, the ending is a work in progress.

Thank you for reading and much love, Sheila.
Gorgeous💖 I feel sure these words and poems could perhaps spill out into a book one day? They sure could be an anchor & some comfort to others in such similar situations.
